Baby Monitor
Parents have been using baby monitors to check on their young children for years, but this Australian mom got the shock of her life after looking at her baby on her baby monitor. Elise Bannister recently bought a VTech baby monitor so that see could keep an eye on her son Finn as he slept. She looked at the monitor and saw Finn in his crib, with his eyes wide open and glowing blue – looking as if he had been possessed.
She described the sight as looking like “something from a low-budget horror movie”, and burst out laughing at the scene. She sent the picture to her friends’ group chat before posting the photo on Twitter, where it managed to get over 400,000 likes. Admittedly, it does sound like something out of a movie or video game.
Plenty of other parents shared their own similar experiences on the post. Some users joked that her child needs an exorcism, while another asked if he had been baptized. Surely, using a baby monitor should be a pretty straightforward task, but surprises can spring up – it looks as if a lot of parents have seen their children looking slightly different to how they look in real life.
Mattress Ghost
Just last month, another mother, stay-at-home mom Maritza Elizabeth, saw what she thought was a ‘ghost baby’ lying next to her son in his crib. After being freaked out and struggling to sleep, she investigated in the morning and realised what the ‘ghost baby’ actually was.
She announced in a Facebook post that there had been a picture of a baby on her son’s mattress, and her husband forgot to put the mattress protector on when changing the sheets. She joked “I could kill him!” after her fright, as she no doubt felt both relieved and slightly embarrassed the day after.
Luckily, all of the infants are happy and healthy today despite their mothers’ light-hearted concerns, and they gave the parent community on social media much to laugh about. Have you ever seen anything weird on a baby monitor? Let us know if you have!
