A flurry of fur took over a shopping mall in Shenzhen, China, as more than 100 huskies made a daring dash for freedom from a dog cafe. Videos capturing the adorable chaos quickly went viral on social media platform Weibo, reported the South China Morning Post.
The “Haha Husky Cute Pets” cafe experienced the canine breakout when its door was accidentally left open, giving the energetic huskies an opportunity to explore. Cafe staff explained that the excitement was triggered by the owner’s return after a long absence. Eager to greet their owner, the huskies dashed through the open door when a customer entered, the news outlet stated.

The mall was transformed into a husky playground, with the playful pups running, howling, and even snatching snacks from startled shoppers. Most of the escapees were rounded up within an hour by the staff.
However, seven particularly mischievous huskies received a one-of-a-kind punishment: a dinner featuring chicken legs! Two others, labeled “greedy” for pilfering snacks from customers, are still at large. The cafe issued a heartfelt apology and offered compensation to affected customers.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and the cafe resumed its operations without further incident. The cafe expressed gratitude to the police, mall management, and helpful bystanders who assisted in the capture.
“Haha Husky Cute Pets” is home to over 100 friendly huskies, where visitors can enjoy tea while interacting with the fluffy companions. The cafe also sells dog food and allows guests to play with the pups on the floor or stairs.
Past customers have praised the affectionate nature of these huskies, nicknamed “Erha” in China, applauding their friendliness and playful demeanor.
