Recently in Odisha, a rare and weird species of snake was discovered. The snake had two fully formed heads which startled everyone who saw it. It was first found by Mr. Mohalick. The member of the Indian Forest Services immediately recorded this rare snake and uploaded the content on Twitter.
The video showed the snake slithering all over the ground. Upon looking closely, you can see that it has two fully formed heads which means that it has two tongues and four fully functional eyes along with a single body. Keep in mind that both of his heads worked independently meaning they were both looking for food in different directions.
Upon sharing on Twitter, it went viral immediately not even in India but on the globe. Everyone was surprised to see this snake with two heads. The video got more than 15,000 views in a very short period of time. A lot of people commented and retweeted the video in surprise. The officer of the Forest Services Department also mentioned that they didn’t capture it. Instead, he was released in the forest after a while.
The people who captured it studied a little in order to find out more about it. They discovered that although both of his heads function properly one is more developed than the other. The snake uses both of its heads to find food around the forest. Mr. Mohalick said that because this snake has two sets of heads and four functional eyes, it is easier for it to look for its prey.
Although it is a rare species it is not something unheard of. Scientists know that such snakes having two fully formed heads do exist. In fact, one such snake was found in the United States of America last year and was named after people who discovered it.
