They absorb the energy from the sun in the morning and use that energy in the night to illuminate the path. This is the same material you see in the glowing sticks. These are energized by the radiation and use that radiation to turn it into the energy and store that energy and after that re-emitted for a very long time. According to the officials, this material can radiate different colors.
The cost of this installation was around $31000, which is going to be very affordable if there are no accidents in the future.
