A woman from Massachusetts, United States, has successfully tracked down her reality celebrity chef husband, who had allegedly abandoned her and their two children, using the “power of Facebook.”
The man in question, Charles Withers, had relocated to Texas and was reportedly using dating apps to connect with other women while his wife, Ashley McGuire, stayed home with their kids, according to a report in the New York Post.
The incident came to light after an internet user shared Ashley McGuire’s Facebook post in a popular Facebook group called ‘Are We Dating the Same Guy.’ In her post, McGuire detailed her chef husband’s disappearance, stating, “Last year, when I was pregnant with our youngest baby, he decided being a husband and a dad wasn’t the lifestyle he wanted anymore and he ghosted, like gone without a trace.”

How Social Media Helped Locate the Missing Chef Husband
McGuire expressed her intention to divorce her chef husband and requested help in locating him to obtain his signature on divorce papers. She described him as British, charming, and likely working in the hospitality industry under the name “Charlie.” McGuire also mentioned that Withers had appeared on an episode of The Food Network’s reality series “Chopped” in 2022.
Within 24 hours of the post, several women claimed to have matched with Withers on dating apps, and some said he had given them his Texas address for potential meetings.
After receiving “more than enough” information to locate her chef husband, McGuire posted an update on Facebook, thanking everyone for their support but urging against threats or hate towards Withers. She expressed her desire to resolve the situation amicably for the sake of her and her children’s future.
As per a 2021 Boston Globe report, Withers was a rising star in the Falmouth dining scene, overseeing the Seafood Depot C Salt Wine Bar and Grille. However, his career and reputation have been overshadowed by his sudden disappearance and the subsequent social media saga initiated by his wife.
