Many languages around the world have been used for communication. Here we are going to talk about the Turkish bird language which is used in the villages of Turkey for communication. This language uses the melodies and whistles for communication.
Kuşköy is the village in Turkey that has been associated with the Turkish bird language. In 1997 this village hosted the Cultural Event where bird language originated. In 2017, this language was part of the UNESCO heritage. According to UNESCO Heritage, this language is going to die if we will not protect it.
Because of the long and mountainous area in this village, this language is used for communication. Because the whistle can reach many long distances, the resident is using bird language daily. Due to many advancements in technology, it is observed that the Turkish bird language is dying. To keep it alive among the new generation, the villagers of Kuşköy hosted the Cultural Event to elaborate to display and excite with the bird language.
Outside of this village, Kuşköy, nobody can speak this Turkish bird language or know about it. It is only the village people of Kuşköy as the villagers use the language for communication by using the whistles.
Not only the language is celebrated in the annual events, regularly, it also has been started being taught in schools.
The local villages are thanking the UNESCO Heritage because of making efforts and adding the Turkish bird language into their list, which is in danger. That is why the villagers of Kuşköy are taking the initiative of arranging the annual event and celebrating the language where this language is spoken widely.
During the cultivation of the plants or the other important tasks, the people send messages to their family and friends or relatives for the important talking points. For example, people will use this bird language which reaches many long parts of the village, Kuşköy. With the use of this bird language, you can tell your fellow person to eat the food or to send something.
Many women are old and they can’t shout, anymore. It is very famous among those old women to communicate day in day out.
Only around 10,000 people can speak this language, especially in Kuşköy village. Maybe the villagers are not very interested in promoting this Turkish bird language due to which this language may stick to this village only.
To protect the language, it needs to get it promoted around the World; especially the mountainous places around the world. This can be entertainment as well as keep the atmosphere noise-free. Or otherwise, this sweet and cute communication mode may die in itself.
