Predict the future
Everyone makes predictions, from guessing the features of an upcoming video game to what the biggest news stories of the world will be. But this woman’s method is stranger than most. Jemima Packington, or ‘Mystic Veg’, believes that she can predict the future through asparagus. Yes, you read that correctly. The self-described ‘Asparamancer’ uses the vegetable to see into the future, and has made some correct predictions so far.
Her latest prediction is that Donald Trump will be re-elected as US president this year, but there’s a turbulent time in store for the leader. Supposedly, he will be impeached again in his second term, and be forced to leave office.
And she’s not done yet. Jemima predicts that climate change is going to be an even bigger issue this year, and that countries will be more proactive in terms of combating the problem. She warns that weather will become more erratic, with everything from hurricanes to flooding, but that the UK will be able to leave the Europe Union more smoothly than many assume.
Successful predictions
In the celebrity world, Jemima predicts that big-name sportspeople will become embroiled In scandals, while the Oscars will award their youngest ever winner. Another big name in showbiz will suddenly retire, while there might be more births and deaths in the Royal Family on the cards.
In 2019, she predicted that England would win the Cricket World Cup and that there were to be a variety of extreme temperatures around the world. And one of her 2020 predictions appears to be coming true already – she said that members of the Royal Family were going to be relinquished of official duties, when shortly after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they were to step back from high-profile Royal engagements.
Could she really be able to predict the future by using asparagus? There are a number of ways in which the future can allegedly be predicted – like these cats who have a ‘sixth sense’ – but there’s no scientific proof that any of this is actually possible.
