Singer and songwriter Brocarde, 40, has stirred up her ghostly ex-husband’s ire by adopting a possessed Ghost clown. Known for her previous marriage to a Victorian soldier spirit named Edwardo, Brocarde’s life took another spooky turn when she brought home the haunted doll.
A Supernatural Love Triangle
Brocarde, who previously tied the knot with the ghostly Edwardo, accused him of infidelity and stalking, leading to their divorce. Recently, while staying at The Clown Motel in Nevada, she felt an uncanny connection with a possessed clown and decided to adopt it. She has since toured the USA with the clown and brought it back to her home in Oxfordshire for a paranormal investigation.
However, Brocarde believes that her ghostly ex-husband Edwardo is not pleased with the new addition to her life.
“I can instantly tell when Edwardo has a point to make, his energy is very powerful,” she said. “His presence has been very manageable these days, and I only see him from time to time, but he does not like the clown. He watches him, and I keep finding the clown by the door. Subtlety is not Edwardo’s strong point.”
A New Paranormal Investigation
Brocarde, who refers to herself as a “ghost magnet,” encountered the possessed clown while filming a series on haunted locations for her TV show pilot. Despite Edwardo’s apparent jealousy, Brocarde insists she has no romantic interest in the clown spirit and emphasizes that the doll is purely for research purposes.
“He has nothing to be concerned about, as I have no intention of marrying a clown ghost, although that would be funny,” she remarked. “The clown is here for research purposes only, and I definitely don’t need to get into a paranormal love triangle.”
Brocarde is fascinated by spirit vessels and haunted objects and is eager to learn more through her investigations.
“I know the clown is possessed, so perhaps Edwardo has picked up on some bad energy and is just looking out for me. I’m fascinated by the prospect of spirit vessels and haunted objects, it’s a whole new world for me, so I’m trying to learn and absorb as much as possible.”
The Ghost Clown’s Backstory
During her visit to The Clown Motel, Brocarde felt an immediate connection with the clown due to their shared love of theatre and performing. She claims the spirit within the clown revealed itself as a tortured carnival performer who was ridiculed for not being funny.
“When I connect with spirits, it’s often their emotions that I connect with first. Sometimes an un-rested spirit attaches itself to a physical entity. In this case, this clown doll had once been owned by or come into contact with a man who worked as a clown,” she explained.
“This man was tortured by his dreams of stardom but was condemned to life in the carnival where he was underappreciated. I suppose as an artist, I can relate to this, so I feel that’s why he chose me to convey this message.”
Feeling compelled to rescue the clown, Brocarde secured its adoption from the motel to conduct a full paranormal investigation. She believes the clown’s spirit wanted to be rescued from the competitive environment of the motel, which is reportedly one of Nevada’s most haunted locations due to its dark history and proximity to a portal.
After leaving The Ghostly Clown Motel, Brocarde traveled across the USA with the clown, visiting Hollywood and even having a night out in Las Vegas. So far, she has observed only subtle movements and signs of possession.
