Amazon, known for its wide array of products, has added a surprising item to its inventory – a “foldable” home.
In today’s challenging property market, getting on the housing ladder can be daunting. Amazon’s unconventional solution offers a complete home for just over £20,000, a stark contrast to the UK’s average house price of around £288,000. However, one influencer’s impulsive purchase of an Amazon prefab house has revealed a significant flaw in the seemingly perfect abode.
Amazon’s Unconventional Offer: A Foldable Home
Content creator @hittaa_jeff decided to buy the house on a whim but quickly realized he couldn’t live in it comfortably. Despite being fully furnished with home appliances, a bathroom, and even two sets of sofas and a coffee table, he discovered a major issue – he couldn’t stand up straight in it. In a TikTok video, the 23-year-old influencer exclaimed,
“I am 23 years old and I just bought a house off Amazon,” before showcasing the interior.
While the house on Amazon appeared impressive at first, he soon realized the ceilings were too low for his 5’8″ height, which is below the average for males in the UK and US.
Jeff stated, “I am not going to live here, I’m actually going to Airbnb it because as I said in a previous video, the ceilings are very small [low].” He mentioned that the Amazon house was ready for occupancy, and he was awaiting permits to rent it out. Additionally, he planned to give it a makeover as he wasn’t “a fan” of the furniture provided.
The humorous video garnered quick responses from viewers, with one jokingly commenting, “Imagine having to return your house,” while another quipped, “I’m about to order one for my two boys; they gotta get out ASAP.”
