Drive to California
You might be itching to leave the house at the moment, but this five-year-old boy took it one step further by trying to drive to California from his house in Utah in his parents’ car. Somehow, he actually managed to drive for a few miles without crashing or causing an accident.
The child got into an argument with his mother about buying a Lamborghini, and decided to try and drive to California to obtain one himself. Utah Highway Patrol trooper Rick Morgan stopped the car on the Insterstate 15 freeway after thinking that the driver was ‘impaired’. After turning on his siren, the driver pulled over, at which point the trooper and the driver had a conversation, the former discovering the latter’s tender age.
Morgan could be forgiven for assuming that the driver was drunk or under the influence of drugs, but to his surprise it was a different scenario altogether. He approached the boy and a video of the exchange has been widely shared and circulated online across social media.

The trooper asked the child about his ability to drive and noted some other details. As he is a minor, no other information has been given about the boy, but we do know that the car belongs to his parents, and he was trying to travel to California to by a Lamborghini, after his mother said that she wouldn’t buy one for him.
In a tweet, the local police force said that “He decided to take the car and go to California to buy one himself … he might have been short on the purchase amount as he only had $3 in his wallet” – perhaps he could afford a toy Lamborghini instead.
Despite his desire to make it from the city of Ogden, near Salt Lake City, all the way to California, the child only made it a few miles before his adventure came to a premature end. He didn’t get his Lamborghini from California, but won’t be driving his parents’ car back to the state again any time soon. For more bizarre stories, check out the rest of the posts on our site!
