It is strange that this news received no coverage either in the media, or on Habr and GT, only Site Expert.ru wrote “a note about our boy.” And it’s strange, because it is “symbolic” in its own way and, most likely, we are on the threshold of grandiose changes in the commodity turnover in the Russian Federation.

Gray fur coats unexpectedly obelitsya
What is the fuss? The government of the Russian Federation obliged from January 1, 2016 all suppliers and sellers to chip fur products for registration in the “Marking” system of the tax service. The project was launched to run technologies, solutions and administration for the verification of products using RFID chips.
The very note about this was published in November 2016, but it caught my eye completely by accident. According to the cited figures, I quote:
Only for 8 months the number of fur coats sold in Russia increased in 16 ( sic! ) times Compared with the year 2015.
Just think about it 16 times !!!
By the end of 2016, it was possible to legalize about 20% of the market participants, and for one and scold the Accounting Chamber, which provided the Ministry of Industry with data on only 400 000 items Subject to obligatory chipping, while the actual order of RFID exceeded 6 million pieces.
Each label contains information about the origin and movement of a specific fur article. The tags operate in the UHF range and comply with the standards ISO / IEC 18000-63, EPCglobal Gen2v2.

Also, on January 1, 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Trade launched an experiment on voluntary labeling of medicines (for the time being), further refinement of the products of light industry (in particular footwear), precious woods, aircraft components and so on .
How do you, my dear Habrazers, understand that this is not just a valuable fur just chipping and accounting products, but on top of this model superimposed block-chain, and codes wired in RFID become unique Product identifiers. Accordingly, the introduction of these technologies does not allow further use of any “calculators” of RFID numbers and handicraft recorders for counterfeiting marks. This is undoubtedly a tremendous achievement of Russian science and technology in the practical implementation of marks, which today is not equal anywhere in the world.
The future of RFID in Russia: medicines, museums and much more
The developer of the RFID-equipment and innovative company in the Russian Federation is a portfolio company of RosNano “RST-Invent”. Therefore, having collected several press releases from RosNano and the PCT-Invest, we will look into the future of RFID in Russia.
Automatic accounting of museum and library storage objects
So, the Foundation for Infrastructure and Educational Programs (FIPS) RosNano initiated a project in which employees of cultural institutions, private collectors, representatives of security companies and IT companies will be able to learn to use modern RFID technologies for the protection, recording and control of the movement of art objects.
In particular, in the autumn of 2016 it was announced that the engineering engineering company FIPP “Identification Technology” will develop an RFID system for the State M The Fine Arts Museum named after A.S. Pushkin.
The introduction of RFID will begin to educate employees of the museum in the field of contactless RFID. It is planned that the first pilot group, which will include about 100 people, will finish training in September 2017, that is, very soon.
As for the libraries, the first pilot project was launched in the library of STC-GazProm in St. Petersburg, where the storage, accounting and issuance of books are carried out automatically, thanks to RFID.
Valuable and unique products of industry
In principle, the logical continuation of initiatives to chip the goods will be the arrival of RFID in the jewelry industry and aviation equipment (especially after the recent scandal with the repair of Indian fighters, it becomes particularly relevant). Several solutions for different industries have been proposed on the PCT-Invest website.
Instead of confinement: in the ointment, a fly-fly
When I started writing this review and came to the actual numbers of shipped labels, it seemed to me that here it is the Holy Grail of the semiconductor industry in Russia. There is a company that produces tags – Mikron, which is part of Sitronics / RTI holding, is a company that offers interesting RFID solutions on the market, both technical (antennas) and implementation ones – PCT Invest, and there is a state order – Tax Service Plus Minpromtorg. It would seem that the idyll, the first produce (I recall that Micron has a full production cycle and stamp tickets for the Moscow Metro, 1, 2, 3, 4), the second implement, and all this (so far) is sponsored by state order (see success stories Mask Or Brendson, who do not lose interest in mastering the money of American taxpayers.)
But, apparently, my rose-colored glasses are already wrinkled with life, and something still forced me to turn to the press service of the PCT-Ivest for answering one simple question: where are the chips for tags, Zin?
It turned out that as before so these labels to us mainly from NXP, and the company RST-Invest produces only an antenna and mounts chips are ready for them. Even invented the design of such an antenna, to immediately label the three different manufacturers to mount: NXP, Impinj and Alien. Although five years have passed since the writing of this note and contacts with Sitronics could be established.
