Fired from Wendy’s
There’s making work feel like home, but this fast food worker took things too far by taking a bath in the basin, getting fired from Wendy’s as a result. Of course, fast food isn’t healthy for us and we should aim for a better diet, but we at least expect high standards of hygiene when we go out to eat.
Unsurprisingly, the Wendy’s employee was fired for his actions, after a video clip was uploaded to TikTok, and reached thousands of views. A Wendy’s spokesperson confirmed that all employees involved in the footage were fired as soon as it came to the company’s attention. He also explained that the restaurant had been sanitized following the incident, and that the behaviour was unacceptable for an employee at the company.
In the video, the employee is seen sitting inside the sink, immersing his body up to his shoulders, and saying that “it feels like a hot tub”. Somebody else, presumably a colleague, throws a cloth into the water for him to wash himself with, and a food tray also appears in the water.

It’s clear from the footage that the employee isn’t wearing a shirt, and his knees can be seen. However, it’s unknown as to whether or not he was actually naked at the time. The Wendy’s in question is located in Greenville, South Carolina, and was identified on Facebook after being shared on the social media site by a lot of disgruntled fast food fans.
Unsurprisingly, customers weren’t happy, some taking to contacting the chain on Twitter – hopefully they’ll feel reassured after hearing that the employees concerned were fired from Wendy’s. However, it’s not the first time there’s been a serious hygiene issue at a restaurant. Last year a rat was filmed climbing out of a loaf of bread in Ireland, something that is also sure to put people off their food.
Back in the US, an employee of Rancherito’s in Draper, Utah was fired a couple of months ago for apparently urinating on the kitchen floor, and again this was discovered by his employers thanks to a viral video. Have you ever noticed anything odd when getting fast food? Let us know!
