Supernatural portal
Is there a portal to another, more spiritual world in this woman’s living room? Mother-of-four Steph Harper lives in a typical North Wales, UK house built in the 1950s or 60s. It’s an unremarkable house, and not the sort of place that you’d expect to see paranormal or supernatural portal, activity or a gateway into another world.
Weird happenings have been going on for eleven years, first starting in 2008. Steph was at home with oldest child Harvey, now 14, and while he was in bed she suddenly heard a loud bang coming from his room. Crazily, she found her son asleep in bed, but the bed had been moved from its usual position against the wall.
Her next child, Thomas, was born in November a year later, and Steph noticed more oddities that she felt may have arrived from another world. The family heard weird “loud knocking noises that couldn’t be explained” around the Christmas period, and were so disturbed that they went to stay with family that night.
Afterwards, husband Colin decided to find out what was causing the strange noises, tapping various parts of the house. Tapping on the banister, it made the same sound that they’d heard the night before. It’s the sort of scary scene you’d only think of in video games.
Help from a medium
In the ten years since, there have been a number of supernatural experiences, or experiences from another world, around the house. It’s not only noises, either – different smells will appear from time-to-time, including rotten flesh in one instance, and has had various possessions also go missing. Most notably, Colin’s work cellphone disappeared and was randomly found under a T-shirt six months later, despite the family walking past the shirt multiple times.
After the ‘rotten flesh’ encounter, the family got in touch with a medium. They told the family that their house contains a ‘portal to the spirit world’. Rather than being scared off, Steph and Colin have decided to fully embrace the supernatural portal and keep on investigating. Halloween is always a spooky time of year, but they plan to contact the spiritual world over this holiday season.
