The sudden disappearance of Amelia Earhart is considered to be one of the biggest secrets of the 20th century. No one knows where she went all of a sudden. The last journey she took was in 1937 on the Pacific Ocean, after that no one ever saw her again. But new footage of her was discovered and can be found all over the internet.
This video recording of Amelia Earhart is 2 minutes 22 seconds long where she is seen to be sitting inside a plane in Dallas, Texas. It is said that the video was recorded by William B. Kendall Jr. about six years ago before Amelia Earhart’s disappearance over the Pacific Ocean.
Miss Earhart had a passion for planes. It is said that she had recently finished a cross country flight before she arrived in Dallas. She remained there for the time being to greet her Aviation Department of the Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Few months after this trip, she claimed that she wanted to make history by flying solo over the Pacific Ocean.
Amelia Earhart encouraged her enthusiasm for flying in 1920; she dropped out of the pre-medical program at Columbia University in New York to live with her sick guardians in California. It just took a year after her first plane ride there for the 23-year-old to get a pilot’s permit and get her plane. All of this shows how passionate she was about her aircraft and flying.
Luckily for her, there were a lot of advertisers who were progressively trying to discover a lady who could fly over the Atlantic Ocean during that time. With Earhart’s aptitudes for flying, she was chosen for the undertaking in April 1928.
In 1932, she crossed the Atlantic Ocean without anyone else in a record season of 14 hours and 56 minutes. After three years, she turned into the First Lady to fly solo from Hawaii to California and also from Los Angeles to Mexico City.
Flying far and wide on her plane was her only passion. She loved doing that, and she was ready to break more records. Some people think that her likeness for flying was because Charles Lindbergh, who was the principal man to fly regularly over the Atlantic alone. This caused Amelia Earhart to do the same.
Other than being a very passionate flyer, she was also a writer. She wrote a book about her experience in aviation, its perks and challenges. The lady was an inspiration to so many girls who had the same dream as her. She stunned the entire world with her skills to fly far and wide, but in 1937, she surprised people by her sudden disappearance. When on 2nd July 1937 Amelia Earhart and guide Fred Noonan vanished all of a sudden.
Although the plan was brilliantly equipped and Amelia Earhart was always in contact through the radio, but it looked like all of a sudden, the plane and its pilots evaporated into thin air. After a lot of searches, operations were carried out, but no one found anything. Unfortunately on 19th July 1937, they were declared missing.
