ESUN
- Established in 2002, and located in the special economic zone of Shenzhen, ESUN is a high-tech enterprise specializing in researching, developing and manufacturing degradable polymer materials such as PLA, as well as other types of plastics. ESUN owns three R & D centers that specialize in the synthesis of materials for their modification and application.
- Since 2007, ESUN has begun developing materials for 3D printing. During this time, the company managed to develop materials such as PLA, ABS, PVA (water-soluble support material) and others. Using exclusive formulas, and professional production lines, the company produces a plastic thread of absolute round shape, with a specified thread diameter, high strength, a large palette of colors and a stable melting point.
PLA – due to its low melting point and shrinkage is one of the most affordable materials for 3D printing. Does not require the table to be heated in the printer. The plastic is biodegradable, non-toxic.
A huge palette of colors (including luminescent colors) allows you to print a variety of products without subsequent painting and post-processing.
A palette of transparent plastics of various colors was recently added.
The solvent for PLA is dichloromethane (methylene chloride, methylene chloride). When printing, it is very important to blow out models from PLA and not to overheat them.
The cost of a coil weighing 1 kg is 1450 rubles.
ABS
ABS – Impact-resistant thermoplastic. Very popular due to its physical and mechanical properties. It is perfectly handled – smoked, drilled, sawed. Well suited for printing functional models.
Or models that require further painting and finishing.
It is well soluble in acetone. Thanks to this, it is possible to obtain glossy products with the help of an acetone bath.
The variety of the color palette is not inferior to the PLA.
And its minuses, and nuances. ABS at printing gives a strong shrinkage because of this, it is desirable to use a printer with a closed camera and a heated table.
The solvent for ABS is Acetone.
The cost of a coil weighing 1 kg – 1450 rubles.
PETG
PETG – polyethylene terephthalate-glycol, highly impact resistant plastic with polyethylene terephthalate with the addition of glycol (according to international designation PET-G)
Very interesting material, is something middle between ABS and PLA. The material has a small shrinkage, it can be printed on a printer without a heated table. At the same time, the material is beautifully smoked and processed.
Here the palette of flowers is more modest. Basically transparent colors except black and white.
Solvent – Methyl ethyl ketone, Cyclohexanone.
The cost of a coil weighing 1 kg – 1950 rubles.
Polycarbonate or ePC
Impact-resistant, hard, heat-resistant material resistant to impact. The main difference from other types of plastic is its low flammability. It is interesting for printing of ready-made functional products.
When printing is whimsical. It is necessary to have a camera and a heated platform. The printing temperature is 260 – 300 degrees. Not every printer can heat the extruder to this temperature.
Plastic is available only in one color – natural.
The cost of a coil weighing 1 kg is 2400 rubles.
ePA ESUN
Or just nylon. Wear resistant, easy to handle, with excellent slip coefficient (it is possible to print bushings), which makes it popular enough.
Great for printing gears and mechanisms, due to excellent wear resistance.
The press requires a heated table and a closed camera.
Only one color is available – natural.
The cost of a coil weighing 1 kg is 3200 rubles.
ePA-CF
This is the same ePA only with the addition of carbon fibers.
This makes the products from EPA-CF is even more robust, stiffer and wear-resistant. Plus, the products are obtained with a very beautiful, matte, black color.
A printer with a closed camera and a heated table is recommended for printing.
eFlex
Flex is a special flexible material, similar to a rigid silicone. Products made of it are flexible and strong to break.
Only one color is natural.
Print better on Small speeds, about 15-30 mm / s, otherwise the bar can be “zazhevyvatsya” feeder. Bar 1.75 is good for “direct” feeding on printers. (The motor on the head of the printer), the bowden feed (motor on the printer body) has problems when printing with soft plastic.
The cost of a 1 kg coil is 2750 rubles.
Bronze
This is decorative plastic based on PLA with a beautiful bronze color. Suitable for printing decorative products. Finished models look very advantageous and unusual, especially busts.
Ideal for printing finished articles for bronze – busts, figurines, key chains.
It is printed almost like a PLA – you can print on a cold table, the main thing is to blow out the model well.
The cost of a coil weighing 0.5 kg – 2100 rubles.
Wood
Decorative plastic with the color “under the piece of wood”.
Unlike plastic with wooden filler It is very easy to type and does not clog the nozzle. But it does not change its color when the temperature changes.
The color is obtained with pearlescent shine, but close to a light tree.
The cost per coil weighing 0.5 kg – 2 100 rubles.
eCopper, eAfill and eSteel
Plastics with metal powder (aluminum, stainless steel or copper). As well as Bronze are interesting in decorative application.
After printing for “opening” of metal filling, we recommend to clean the model with a metal brush.
Chic for printing decorative trinkets. If the key ring is scratched or cracked – it will remain the same “metal”.
Printing may cause problems with the adhesion of the first layer, so it is better to print on printers with a heated table.
The cost of a coil weighing 1 kg .: eAfill – 3 700 rubles, eCopper – 4 200 rubles, eSteel supplies have not yet begun, the price is not determined.
HIPS
HIPS – thermoplastic polymer. It is obtained by adding polybutadiene to polystyrene during polymerization. Due to the fact that limonene is the solvent for it, it is most often used as a support material for plastics with a high printing temperature.
Supports from HIPS are easily broken and washed away
Although it is possible to use HIPS as a stand-alone material.
HIPS is a softer material compared to ABS. Easily sanded and processed. Since the material is used most often as support, we offer only natural and black color, although ESUN produces a complete palette.
The HIPS seal is very similar to the ABS plastic seal. It is desirable to print on a printer with a heated platform and a closed housing.
The cost of a coil weighing 1 kg – 1950 rubles.
PVA
PVA – or polyvinyl alcohol
PVA is soluble in water, which makes it unsuitable for The creation of functional models, but allows to use as supports.
Capricious in print due to its fluidity. Printed in the same way as PLA – good blowing is important.
The cost of a coil weighing 0.5 kg – 2950 rubles
Cleaning plastic ESUN
It is clear from the name that the plastic is intended for cleaning the nozzle of the printer.
Well suited for atomic cleaning of the extruder, or for cleaning the nozzle when replacing the plastic type.
The application is quite simple, heat the extruder to 150 – 220 degrees, insert the thread and wait until it comes out through the nozzle with the remaining debris and frozen plastic.
The cost per 100 g of plastic is 500 rubles.
