Stirling engine – Engine with external supply of heat. External heat supply is very convenient when there is a need to use not organic fuels as a source of heat. For example, you can use solar energy, geothermal energy, waste heat from various enterprises.
A nice feature of the Stirling cycle is that its efficiency is equal to the efficiency of the Carnot cycle [1]. Naturally, in real Stirling engines, efficiency is lower and often much. Stirling engine began its existence from a device that has many moving parts, such as pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, bearings [2].
